Eligibility

Applicants must be affiliated with Hill Air Force Base by being a dependent (child or spouse) of one of the following:

An active duty U.S. Military member currently assigned to Hill AFB.

An active duty U.S. Military member assigned elsewhere in Utah.

Reservist/National Guard member assigned at Hill AFB or elsewhere in Utah.

A deceased U.S. Military member and Utah resident.

A retired U.S. Military member and Utah resident.

An active civil service employee working at Hill AFB.

Applicants must be graduating from an accredited high school or already hold a diploma from an accredited high school/GED equivalent.

Applicants are only eligible to receive this scholarship once.

Applicants must plan to attend or be already enrolled in an accredited college or university during the 2023-2024 academic year in pursuit of a certification, undergraduate degree, or graduate degree. Applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester.

Applicants must notify the Hill AFB Spouses' Scholarship Chair if they no longer attend the college/university.

Applicants are ineligible if already awarded a full scholarship (e.g. ROTC) or attending service academies.

Applicants cannot be the dependent of a member of the Scholarship Selection Panel at the time of applying.
Award

Scholarships will be paid directly to the accredited school named in the recipient's application.

Scholarships will be awarded for tuition, books, and educational fees.

Any unused portion will be returned to the Hill AFB Spouses' Club.

The Hill AFB Spouses' Club is not responsible for any late fees.
Selection Criteria
Scholarship awards will be based upon the following criteria: scholastic ability, service and citizenship activities, extracurricular activities, character references, work experience, and personal essay. Financial need is not taken into consideration.
High school and any college transcripts (can be unofficial will need to be submitted as well as a letter of reference.

- Proof of Utah assignment
Privacy
Complete anonymity of applicants will be preserved during the selection process. All application materials are used only for the purpose of eligibility verification and recipient selection. All submitted materials will be destroyed after selection process.
